Objectives

  • Use real time monitoring to spot issues early—keep activities on track.

  • Use evaluation to dig into the issues that repeatedly affect performance.

  • Use online dashboards to demonstrate trends and to conduct cross-data analytics.

All activities are designed to validate results and drive performance in ways never before available in a complex humanitarian response.

Monitoring

MESH call centre and field activities focus on real-time performance and verification.

Performance Platform

MESH visualises all results data on dynamic performance platforms that enable intuitive assessments of what’s working and what’s not and broader performance trends across partners, sectors, or locations.

Learning & Change

MESH promotes evidence as a driver for adaptive programming, continuous improvement, and better long-term results.

Evaluation

MESH provides briefs, reviews, and evaluations to assess complex operational issues or aspects of community engagement that lead to better programming.

Data

MESH curates massive databases of data from vulnerable populations, locations, and their relationships with multiple humanitarian sectors and activities, from water infrastructure to healthcare facilities. This includes statistics from multiple actors, clusters, and integrated data from FSNAU/FEWS NET, Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) data, weather patterns (NOAA), etc.

Strategic Advice

MESH works with humanitarian actors to develop monitoring, evaluation, learning, and change (MELC) architectures, including the use of leading-edge technologies for the collection, analysis, and display of complex data.
